AWS Certification in 14 days

I am a horrible procrastinator. I have been meaning to start blogging for several years now and I keep putting it off. I also have been putting off my AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate exam. I’m scheduled to take the test 2 weeks from tomorrow, and I’ve decided that the best way to stay on track is to publish a blog diary of my studying for the next two weeks. If I pass I figure it will serve as a blueprint for others to follow. If I fail it will serve as a reminder on the dangers of procrastination.

There are seven domains so I figure I have about 2 days in each one. I will probably spend 3 on monitoring and reporting and only 1 one on high availability based on the weighting. The full breakdown on the exam is as follows -

  • Monitoring and Reporting - 22%

  • High Availability - 8%

  • Deployment and Provisioning - 14%

  • Storage and Data Management - 12%

  • Security and Compliance - 18%

  • Networking - 14%

  • Automation and Optimization - 12%

Wish me luck, I’ll keep you posted
